Description

Introducing the Carisma Scale Adventure 1/10th 4WD SCA-1E 2.1 Spec 1989 Mitsubishi Pajero XL-W.

Our latest edition pays homage to the late 1980s, capturing the essence of a Japanese classic that is truly iconic. Its design flawlessly encapsulates the spirit of that era – an era defined by clear 4×4 technology and rugged craftsmanship. After triumphing as a third-place finisher in the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally, the Mitsubishi Pajero covered over 11,000km and began Pajero’s illustrious Dakar Rally legacy.

Mitsubishi competes primarily in the Modified Production Class (T2) category. Despite common misconceptions, T2 vehicles are very similar to those available to the general public. The T2 regulations require vehicles to maintain their production model status by adhering to a rigorously regulated and safety-oriented preparation process. Between 1984 and 2007, Mitsubishi dominated the Dakar Rally, securing numerous first, second and third place finishes.

Their remarkable achievements have earned them the prestigious title of ‘Most Dakar Rally Wins by Manufacturer’ from the Guinness World Records. Picture yourself off-roading, navigating riverbeds, tackling rock crawling challenges or even simulating your own Scale Dakar adventure. With the 2.1 Spec Carisma Scale Adventure Pajero XL-W at your side, all of these endeavors become achievable.

The instantly recognisable late 80s aesthetic is just part of the story. Standardized on all new RTR and SCA-1E Kit models, the 2.1 Spec offers users the Gen 2 layout, along with a CMS Mount that optimizes forward weight distribution. Addressing the inherent torque-twisting problem found in shaft-driven rigs, our development team introduced the new ATT (Anti-Torque Transmission). This innovation counteracts and reduces the effects of torque-twisting by providing opposing rotations in the front and rear center drivelines, while also reversing the rear differential.

This ingenious design generates a counter-rotating force in the center driveline, significantly reducing torque-twisting and improving wheel traction. Combined with the fully licensed 1980s Mitsubishi bodywork featuring die-cast parts and LED light-ready buckets, a 2.4GHz FHSS 2-channel radio, a sturdy 9kg metal-powered steering servo, a 1400mAh NiMH battery and a reliable USB charger, you can easily tell that it embodies the true essence of a complete RTR rig in every way possible.
